According to Accuscore, the Toronto Blue Jays only have a 3.8 percent chance of making the playoffs. I saw this in Jeff Passan's article on Yahoo Sports, that a machine similar to the J.P. Ricciardi Bullshit Translator 3000 runs around 10,000 simulations of how the rest of the season plays out.

I loved Bases Loaded! I played as KC. Why? Because they wore blue like the Blue Jays did. Sad, but true. Won the pennant too.
ReplyDeleteThat's right - I think KC had the grey/blue uniforms right? I think I always used Philly, but never had the patience to play the whole season through. I commend you for sticking it out all the way to the pennant!
ReplyDeleteI remember playing Bases Loaded, trying for a pennant, and after about 4 games or so I would eventually find a spot to pitch to that was unhittable by the opposition. I would set my NES Advantage to rapid fire, and put something on the button to weigh it down so I could go to sleep. When I would wake up, GAME OVER. hahaha. Never completed the season, though. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteCome to think of it, I used a pitcher named Ryan as my closer, and he was a lefty. Foreshadowing???
ReplyDeleteWow, that IS weird. Ryan was the closer? Maybe it was B.J.'s dad that was in Bases Loaded?
