I was in a little disbelief when I found out today that Shaun Marcum was sent to the minors. Yes, he did get a little roughed up last night by the Red Sox, but by no means was he have a Jesse Litsch-like collapse.Speaking of which, Jesse was in fine form today stifling the Red Sox sluggers to an eventual 10-0 win. This is the second straight quality start from Litsch since his return from the minors; so let's hope that Marcum enjoys the same success from being demoted to Triple A.
And what is up with the Jays suddenly looking like a playoff-bound team? I think they really do play best against the contenders in the division (Red Sox, Yankees, and Rays). Wouldn't it be sweet if the Bluebirds could win 2 out of 3 at home against the Yankees AND Red Sox?
Get out the rally towels folks, the season isn't over yet. Thankfully, Steve Bartman is nowhere to be found.
