JC Countdown: 1 Day

By
We are less than 24 hours away; the man, the legend, Joe Carter will be in Toronto tomorrow. I feel as giddy as a 13-year old in line for an NSync concert - I can't stop talking about it, I can't stop thinking about, and I'm not even sure what I'm going to do when I get there. I am going to the game fully decked out in my retro Jays wear, including my throwback Jays jersey that my parents bought for me back in 1992. The funny thing is that the jersey was too big for me to wear at the time, and I didn't actually end up wearing it until the 2005 season.

I will try to attempt to utter a few words to Joe Carter when I step up to the table, but I imagine that I will barely be able to even mutter "thank you". It also looks to be a great game, with the Jays taking on the Rays. Roy Halladay (17-9) goes up against Andy Sonnanstine (13-6). All I can say is that it will be an incredible game, and I can't wait to witness my first Flashback Friday game in person. Wish me luck!

  1. I hope for a good game. It sounds so awesome; our town never had a team when I was a kid. I had many many baseball cards, but no player ever really stood out for me like Carter did for you.
