Vernon Ends the Season with a Bang(s)

Leave it up to Vernon Wells to save the Jays from almost not having a 20 HR hitter since the inception of the club in 1977. Even after being on the disabled list twice this season, V-Dub still managed to hit 20 homeruns in 106 games. There is no doubt in my mind that if Vernon Wells played a full season, he would be the 30+ HR 100+ RBI hitter that the Jays have been looking for all year.

So the '08 Jays finish with a 86-76 record, a 6 game improvement over their 83-79 record just one year ago. In the coming days, I'll recap what went right and what went wrong on the 2008 Blue Jays Year in Review show. More details to come about where and when you can catch the show. Till then, let's just watch the post season unfold and reflect on the season that was.

Thank you, Blue Jays! PLAYOFFS (next year, hopefully).

  1. thank god he got to 20 man, thank god...

  2. Is it sad that our 20 HR player was on the DL twice? Hell, I don't care, I'll take what we can get!
