Brian Tallet – Bullpen Cop

I’m thinking that the Rogers Centre should change the name of the “Call to the Bullpen” to the “Call to the Cop Shop” now that Brian Tallet is sporting the most badass moustache in baseball. I couldn’t believe it when I saw him pitch during the Home Opener, and we were also treated to another appearance by Tallet tonight in the Jays 5-1 loss to the Tigers. Jesse Litsch may have given up 5 runs, but Jason Frasor pitched a scoreless 7th and 8th, and Tallet came in and handcuffed the Tigers in the 9th inning.

I don’t know what it is about moustaches, but I think I’ve found my new player on the Blue Jays. And that’s Brian Tallet – Blue Jays Bullpen Cop.

Ian Hunter

Ian has been writing about the Toronto Blue Jays since 2007. He enjoyed the tail-end of the Roy Halladay era and vividly remembers the Alex Rodriguez "mine" incident. He'll also retell the story of Game 5 of the 2015 ALDS to his kids for the next 20 years.

I haven’t forgotten about our good boy Scotty, I’ve just been swayed by the stache. Maybe I should rephrase what I said, Tallet is now one of my new favourite players.

Now I know why Tom Selleck has had a moustache all these years.
