Acid Flashback Friday: The Art of Spitting on Umpires with Bob Miller

For this week’s Acid Flashback Friday, we go way back into the vault to dig up an old video featuring Blue Jays pitching coach Bob Miller.

This classic clip is from all the way back in 1977, and Miller shares how he perfected the art of spitting tobacco on umpires unbeknownst to them.

Ian Hunter

Ian has been writing about the Toronto Blue Jays since 2007. He enjoyed the tail-end of the Roy Halladay era and vividly remembers the Alex Rodriguez "mine" incident. He'll also retell the story of Game 5 of the 2015 ALDS to his kids for the next 20 years.

Did you google some combo of words and this popped up, or did you remember/have knowledge of this? Either way, this makes the top of my list for Blue Jays 'trivia' today.

Mattt, I can't remember how exactly how I stumbled across it – I think I was Googling "Blue Jays Videos" and this was on the 7th or 8th page of results.

    Very random video, isn't it?

Extremely. I'm beginning to think that everything that's ever happened is available on YouTube.

It's getting pretty close! Too bad Bud Selig doesn't scrap that rule about no MLB footage on Youtube, otherwise things would get really interesting.
