GIFS: Mark Buehrle Does It All in One Game

It’s only mid-way through the game, and Mark Buerhle has already done a little bit of everything. Not only is he pitching a great game, but he’s also taking advantage of the National League rules.

Not only did Papa Buehrle pitch like his typical self, but he started the game with one of his patented Gold Glove plays to first base. And then when he got an opportunity to step into the batter’s box, Buehrle didn’t waste any time and hit a soft single into left field.

His teammates wanted him to do the “stir the pot” move, but Mark Buehrle clearly wasn’t having any of it. Check out the GIFS after the jump.

And although he may not be familiar with running the bases, Buehrle looked a total veteran with this textbook slide into second base. Also, kudos to Danny Espinosa for a great leap over Buehrle.

And finally, pitchers in the NL are often asked to lay down a sac bunt. Buehrle’s clearly been brushing up on his bunting drills, because this was a textbook play as well.
